I have a love for MAC lipsticks and showed all the ones I own in my MAC lipstick collection post, a couple I have actually sold now as I only swatched them in that post and never used them again. I love the amount of colours they have in their lipstick line and all the different finishes, I just hate the price, I’ve heard they have now jumped to £15.00 a lipstick? That’s mental, but it won’t stop me from buying more.
I decided I would write a couple of posts on a few of my favourite colours and wanted to share the colour Please Me with you first. It’s a lovely nude with a definite pink tone and a matte finish, I find it’s perfect for everyday wear. Because it is a matte finish, you definitely have to use a lipbalm beforehand or even dab over your lips after application in order for the colour to look nice on the lips. I never used to be a big lipstick wearing kinda gal but I love buying them, so I decided to branch out of my comfort zone of a tinted lipbalm and Please Me is the perfect shade to do this. I can easily wear this going shopping or a lunch, to me it is just the perfect nude.
I also wanted to share with you my love for the MAC lip liner in the shade Soar. This liner goes with so many of the pink and nude lipsticks that I own. It is slightly darker than the lipstick however it helps keep the lipstick in place and last longer. As long as I have a lipbalm at the ready I love this shade on me and the way it looks, I’m a fair toned girl and it suits my skin tone perfectly. It lasts about 2 hours with eating and drinking which I think is great, I don’t know about you but I find topping up my lipstick fun…weird?
I can never get over how good they smell either, just like candyfloss, so yummy to wear. I’m really happy with this shade and it’s been getting a lot of love recently. Now, which colours next…
